Evaluation Pattern and Question Paper Pattern
Evaluation System at LPU is highly transparent and is aimed at bringing out the best performance of students.
Evaluation System:
- Courses with Theory Component only: Students are evaluated on the basis of two components: End-Term Examination and Continuous Assessment (Assignments) with weightage of 70% and 30% respectively.
- Courses with Theory and Practical Components: In certain Courses there are practicals also. In course with practical component, evaluation system: End Term Theory (40% weightage), End Term Practical (30% Weightage) and Assignments (30% weightage)
- Courses with Practical Components only: There are some courses where only practical exams are used to evaluate performance. End Term Practical with 100% weightage
- End-term Examinations are conducted at the end of each term, i.e. twice a year.
- Special Chance Reappear Exams: In the mid of terms (semesters), a special chance is given to students to reapper exams at University Campus. This enables students to avoid backlogs. These exams are conducted in the months of March-April and August-September every year.
- The question papers consist of descriptive as well as analytical questions having Short answer questions and long answer questions.
